Basic Traffic Management South Australia

Get the job you’ve always wanted with Civil Train’s 5 day Traffic Management course designed and endorsed by the industry.

Traffic Management companies are looking to recruit new workers RIGHT NOW! Make sure YOU have the skills they want!

Civil Train have a newly updated Traffic Management program

Basic Traffic Management

designed to align with the National Harmonisation.

What will I learn?

The program offers participants hands on practical implementation of traffic management signs and devices.

The focal point of the course is a selection of units that complement the delivery and are delivered in parallel.

So, what learners get to experience is the end to end of traffic management duties.

Following WHS policies and procedures, carrying out prestart communications and risk assessments using workplace forms, reading and traffic management plans, understanding and implementing traffic guidance schemes, controlling traffic, and positioning portable traffic control devices.

Through consultation we have pulled the best parts of our historical courses and designed an experience that will enable the learner to gain more practical experience. The imbedded units of competency in the course are delivered in sync, giving the learner the concept, they are performing traffic management duties whilst under going all their required training and assessments tasks (the perspective of being on the job doing the job) adding to their overall skills and knowledge.

Gain the following skills and accreditations over the 5 days in a work zone context:

Unit Code Unit Name
RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat*
RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plans*
RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
