Are you tendering for work with WA Water Corp or are already a WA Water Corp approved contractor and are requiring your three-year refresher?

Course Overview

The PVC Course is a Water Corp of WA accredited program, for the operations in the civil and construction areas where PVC Pipe Laying is required. This course will provide participants with the knowledge and the skills to understand different types of PVC pipe and their properties, the correct excavation requirements; including the relevant safety and installation methods that conform to the utility provider’s specifications.

Refreshers are required every three (3) years.

Definitions relating to the industry
Pipe identification and marking
Physical properties
Storage, uploading and handling
Excavation precautions and regulations
Soil conditions, fill and pipe support zones
Thrust blocks
Cutting and chamfering
Solvent cement joining installation
Rubber ring jointing
Tapping methods
Pipeline repairs
Testing and commissioning

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attendance and a plastic wallet card.

Course Duration

This course is one day (8 hours).

Entry Requirements

All learners must be 16 years or older and will be required to provide photographic identification upon arriving for their course.

This course is delivered and assessed face to face.

There are theory and practical training and assessment components to the course.
