Course Overview

White Card is a term used to describe the plastic card issued by a Registered Training Organisations indicating that a person has undertaken general induction training for construction work.

This is a course of training that provides basic knowledge of construction work, the Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws that apply, common hazards likely to be encountered in construction work and how the associated risks can be controlled.

Under WHS legislation, workers on construction sites in Australia must undertake general induction training or ‘White Card training’ and have evidence of their attendance from the course before they are permitted to commence work on a construction site.

 

Course Outcomes

On completion of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work
  • Identify construction hazards and risk control measures
  • Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes
  • Identify incident and emergency response procedures

If successful you will receive a Statement of Attainment. To be issued with a WA White Card, you must be located in Western Australia at the time that you are completing the course assessment.

    Course Duration

    Our eLearning course is designed to fit seamlessly into your busy schedule.

    Part 1: Training & Knowledge Assessment – With a concise and effective curriculum, you can complete this at your own pace. Allocate a minimum of two (2) hours.

    Part 2: Practical assessment – Face to face and can be arranged in person or via video chat with one of our qualified assessors. Allow 15-20 mins.

     

    Entry Requirements

    The below skills are essential for a successful learning experience in our eLearning course. Access to reliable internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

    • Digital literacy: proficiency in basic computer skills and/or using smart devices and competence in tasks like completing online assessment quizzes, which may involve multiple-choice questions, short answer responses, or interactive activities including completing online forms.
    • Reading and comprehension: Understand course content and instructions.
