BASIC WORKSITE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (BWTM) AND TRAFFIC CONTROLLER (TC) Refresher

Update your Main Roads WA issued Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Controller (TC) licence before your three year expiry!

COURSE OVERVIEW

This refresher course is the re-accreditation required very three years by Main Roads WA for Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) and Traffic Control (TC). Participants will be updated with the latest information and changes to implementing traffic management and controlling traffic on WA roads.
 
Civil Train WA is a Main Roads WA approved training provider.
 
COURSE OUTCOMES
  • Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be re-issued with a new Main Roads WA accreditation and ID card.
  • Participants who completed their MRWA accreditation before January 2017 may not hold the unit RIIWHS201D Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures.  As this is now a mandatory requirement of the BWTM., those participants will be trained and assessed in this unit and provided with a Statement of Attainment.
  • Main Roads WA accreditation is valid for 3 years before a refresher accreditation is required.

1 Day (8hrs)

 

DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT

 

  • This course is delivered face to face at our Jandakot training facility.
  • There are theory and practical training and assessment components to the course.
 
LOCATION

 

  • Public courses are scheduled frequently at the Civil Train WA Training Facility – 70 Verde Drive, Jandakot.
  • Civil Train WA can come to your worksite to deliver this course to a group of employees - please contact us for a quote.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Hold the WorkSafe Construction Safety Awareness Card (White or Blue card)
  • Currently hold or previously held a drivers’ licence (must provide evidence of this)
  • Provide a current Statement of Attainment for the following units for the BWTM & TC (or be within the 3 month grace period of expiry):
    • RIICOM201D Communicate in the workplace
    • RIIWHS205D Control traffic with stop-slow bat
    • RIIWHS302D Implement traffic management plan
    • RIIWHS201D Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Provide evidence of active engagement in industry within the previous 12 months.  This may include written evidence from employer/s or client references.

 

 

ALL LEARNERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION UPON ARRIVING FOR THEIR COURSE

 

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, safety boots and hi-vis is required for the practical component of this course. Other sites may have other requirements which will be confirmed at the time of booking. Failure to wear the correct PPE may prevent the participant from completing the practical training and/or assessment.
